The beautiful locality of Sierra de la Ventana is situated in the foothills of the sierra that takes the same name. It is symbol of the fresh air and outdoor life and of the contact with nature. 
The special formation of Mount Ventana, with a natural opening in its summit, gave the mount- and by extension to the locality its name.
This beautiful serrain tourist centre displays a building aspect rich in country houses and chalets of modern style, within a landscape of mountains and streams alterning with thick vegetation.
It has an agreeable climate, with a usually clear blue sky.
The locality is made up by different neighbourhoods and villages: Tívoli Village, Parque Delfino, San Bernardo, Parque Golf, Arcadia Village, Valle Hermoso and La Cumbre.
Regarding the activities that can be carried out, we can mention those that are mainly related to nature: walking in the hills, trekking, mountain byke, horseback riding, among others. The sporting fishing of trouts that can be carried out in the Sauce Grande Stream and its affluents, is another possibility.
Its close proximity to the Ernesto Tornquist provincial Park, gives you the possibility of taking part in varied excursions and climbing up the highest mounts of the system; as well as meeting natural formations such as the Hueco de la Ventana (the window's hole)-that gives the locality its name, visiting falls, rupestrian paintings, and watching beautiful panoramic sights.
This city, is also seat of the Provincial Wise Men Festivity.
