Persiste así por la zona costumbres prehispánicas importantes en las celebraciones comunitarias donde participa todo el pueblo como las fiestas patronales: los misachicos, el culto devoto a los difuntos, los pesebres vivientes, la Semana Santa. También es muy importante el culto a la Pachamama y otros ritos anteriores ala colonización, se puede observar como conviven las apachetas indígenas con las iglesias coloniales por todo el área.
