Tilcara

 

 

Tilcara is called thus by the name of the tribe who inhabited it. Don Antonio de Argañaráz and Murguía was given in charge to its Spanish founder, and to his heirs. Persiste así por la zona costumbres prehispánicas importantes en las celebraciones comunitarias donde participa todo el pueblo como las fiestas patronales: los misachicos, el culto devoto a los difuntos, los pesebres vivientes, la Semana Santa. También es muy importante el culto a la Pachamama y otros ritos anteriores ala colonización, se puede observar como conviven las apachetas indígenas con las iglesias coloniales por todo el área.
