The provinces in the North-west region exhibit intermingled pre-Columbian vestiges, ruins of native fortresses and towns and buildings from the Conquest and Colonization times. The most highlighted due to its unbelievable natural and cultural richness, worshiped by many years by the Quechua nation.
Time seems to have stopped in the Puna highlands; a land furrowed by mountains, ravines and gullies. This region allows to meet a landscape full of contrasts, from the high mountains to the plains, with salt pans to sub-tropical forests. The place where the Latin-American culture settled down.
