Parker is considered one of the world’s foremost authorities on reviewing wines.
This is an extraordinary achievement, considering that the Achaval-Ferrer winery is still relatively new, founded in 1999. Only two other local wineries were listed in the top ten: Viña Cobos and Bodega Catena Zapata. You can try some of the Achaval-Ferrer wines, as well as various others selected by Santiago Achaval, at the Vines of Mendoza tasting room in downtown Mendoza (see Mount Aconcagua).
