Capilla nuestra señora de la Asunción in Villa la Angostura is a beautiful chapel that was built in 1936. The architect Bustillo did a wonderful work in this chapel located just 473 kilometres away from the city of Neuquén, an interesting tourist destination in your next travel Argentina.

Icalma-Villa Pehuenia, Neuquen

The province of Neuquen is connected with Chile by Paso Icalma. It is a border passage where a group of gendarmes are. They are part of the National Gendarmerie of Argentina. I haven’t found too much information about their work in Paso Icalma but you can send an email to e31laslajas@gendarmeria.gov to ask for more information.

When you cross this passage you see Icalma, which is a Chilean town. There is also a lake of the same name and you can enjoy different and many services in the area. There are campings, stores and other establishments. Tourists in this area usually visit Conguillio National Park to see Llaima Volcano.
However, tourists who usually visit Icalma also visit other tourist destinations in Neuquen such as Villa Pehuenia which is the municipality that is connected with Icalma by the passage border.
It must be said that foreign tourists usually visit other tourist destinations in Argentina such as the province of Mendoza where they are inspired by Mount Aconcagua and they enjoy climbing expeditions.

Batea Mahuida, Villa Pehuenia

The Batea Mahuida volcano is one of the most important tourist attractions in Villa Pehuenia, Neuquen, since locals and tourists usually enjoy skiing in this protected area. You can also do other activities there and enjoy wonderful views.

The Pehuenia Circuit is a must do in Neuquen since it gives you the possibility to go through 130 kilometres where you will get to different attractions such as Alumine, Ñorquinco, Piedra Pintada and many others. You will also go to beautiful beaches and streams such as El Verde and Las Animas.

There are various companies that offer this tour that also include lakes and rivers.
This circuit also gives you the chance to enjoy breathtaking views, mountains, nature itself.
